Phase 02
Refocus your direction
Decide what matters & choose your new direction.
After you’ve taken an honest look at where you are, it’s time to think about where you want to go.
Not where you think you should be by now. Not what everyone else seems to be doing. And not a picture-perfect version of life that seems impressive int theory but doesn’t reflect what you actually want.
This is your opportunity to step back and ask yourself some bigger questions. What matters most to you? What do you want your life to look and feel like? Who do you want to become, and what would it take to start living more like that woman today?
Maybe you’ve been so focused on keeping up with everyday life that you haven’t given yourself much time to think about what you want beyond it. Perhaps you have a dozen goals floating around in your head, but no real sense of which ones deserve your attention first. Or maybe you know you want more for yourself, but you’re struggling to turn that feeling into a direction you can actually follow.
That’s where Refocus comes in!
The second phase of the Life Reset Framework is about deciding what you’re working towards and what matters most in this season of your life. It’s about getting intentional with your priorities, reconnecting with the person you want to become, and choosing where to direct your time and energy over the next 90 days.
This isn’t about planning your entire future or setting twenty ambitious goals you’ll struggle to keep up with. It’s about making deliberate choices about the life you want to create, and giving yourself a meaningful place to start.
The 5 steps of Refocus
01. Define your values & the woman you’re becoming
Before deciding what you want to achieve, take some time to consider what matters to you and who you want to become.
Your values influence the decisions you make, the things you prioritise, and the way you approach everyday life. But it’s easy to lose sight of them when you’re busy meeting expectations, following familiar routines, or working towards goals that don’t necessarily reflect what you want anymore.
This step is about identifying the values you want your life to reflect and embodying the woman you want to become.
How does she think about herself? How does she spend her time? What does she prioritise? How does she look after herself, approach her work, and respond when things don’t go according to plan?
This isn’t about creating a perfect version of yourself who never struggles. It’s about getting intentional about the qualities, habits, and standards you want to develop, and considering how your values can help you get there.
When you understand what matters to you and the kind of woman you want to become, you have a foundation for making decisions that feel right for you.
02. Picture the life you want to create
Now it’s time to think beyond who you want to become and consider the life you want to build around her.
When you imagine your dream life, what comes to mind? A beautiful home, exciting travels, financial freedom, or finally achieving a goal you’ve been working towards?
Those things can be wonderful to work towards. But there’s another question worth asking: what do you want your everyday life to look and feel like?
Imagine an ordinary day in a life you genuinely enjoy. How do you spend your mornings? What kind of work fills your day? Do you have time for movement, meaningful relationships, hobbies, or simply enjoying your own company?
Then zoom out and consider the bigger picture. What would you like your health, relationships, career, finances, home, and personal life to look like? What would you have more time and energy for? What would make your life feel more fulfilling?
Whatever it looks like, this is your chance to separate what you genuinely want from what you’ve simply assumed you should want.
You get to decide what a good life means to you.
03. Identify the gaps
Once you have a better understanding of your current reality and a picture of what you’d like your life to look like, the next step is to consider the space between the two.
Where are the biggest differences? What feels furthest from the life you want to be living? And which changes would have the greatest positive impact on your everyday experience?
You might notice that you want to spend more time on your health but rarely make room for it. Perhaps you’re craving more freedom, but your current routines leave little space for the things you enjoy. Or maybe you have goals you’re excited about but haven’t given them the attention they need.
The aim isn’t to identify every single thing that could be improved. It’s to recognise the areas where change could make the biggest difference.
04. Choose your priorities
Here’s where everything starts to come together.
Once you have a better understanding of what matters to you, the woman you want to become, and the life you’d like to create, then it’s time to decide what deserves your attention in the next chapter.
Not everything can be a priority at the same time. When you try to change every habit, pursue every goal, and improve every area of your life simultaneously, it’s easy to become overwhelmed and make very little meaningful progress.
Instead, ask yourself: if I could make meaningful progress in just a few areas over the next 90 days, which would make the biggest difference to my life?
Maybe it’s improving your health, building your business, strengthening your relationships, creating more financial security, or making more room for adventure and enjoyment.
Your priorities will depend on what matters to you and what season of life you’re in. There’s no universal list you need to follow, and you don’t need to justify your choices to anyone else.
The goal is to choose up to three focus areas that deserve your time and energy right now.
You can work towards other things later. For now, you have permission to concentrate on what matters most.
05. Set your new standards
Your priorities help you decide where to focus. Your personal standards help you decide how you want to live along the way.
These are the principles you want to fall back on to when things get busy, motivation fades, or old habits start creeping back in.
Perhaps you want to stop sacrificing sleep for unnecessary scrolling. To make time for the people you love. To stop automatically saying yes to everything. To keep promises to yourself, protect your attention, or make room for enjoyment instead of postponing it until you’ve achieved enough.
Think of them as your own personal guidelines, a reminder of what you’re choosing to prioritise and what you’re no longer willing to compromise on.
You get to decide what your next chapter looks like!
It’s tempting to use a fresh start as an opportunity to reinvent your entire life overnight. New routines, ambitious goals, a packed schedule, and a long list of things you’re determined to do differently.
But a life reset is less about giving yourself more things to keep up with, and more about deciding what matters enough to deserve your attention in the first place.
Refocus gives you the opportunity to step away from everyone else’s expectations, think about what you genuinely want, and make some deliberate decisions about the next chapter of your life.
You might discover that your priorities look different from what you expected. You might realise that something you’ve been chasing isn’t as important to you as you once thought. Or you might finally give yourself permission to pursue something you’ve wanted for a long time.
Whatever you discover, the goal is to leave this phase with a stronger sense of direction and a better understanding of what you’re working towards.
Not a rigid plan for the rest of your life, just a meaningful starting point for the next 90 days.
What you’ll gain from this phase
By the end of Refocus, you’ll have a more intentional picture of the life you’re building and the priorities that will help you move towards it.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Define your values and use them to guide your choices.
- Describe the woman you’re becoming and the qualities you want to embody.
- Visualise your ideal everyday life beyond the big goals and milestones.
- Articulate what you want to change across the areas of life that matter to you.
- Identify the biggest gaps between your current reality and your desired life.
- Choose up to three priorities to focus on over the next 90 days.
- Establish personal standards that reflect the way you want to live.
Together, these decisions form your personal direction for the next 90 days – a reference point to lean on when distractions, competing demands, and old routines threaten to pull you away from what matters.
Ready to decide what’s next?
You don’t have to piece everything together on your own or try to answer these questions in your head.
Sometimes, you need the space to think, the right questions to ask yourself, and a structured way to turn all those thoughts about the life you want into something you can actually work with.
That’s what the Refocus Workbook is being designed to help you do.
Through guided exercises and thoughtful prompts, you’ll work through what matters to you, explore the life you want to create, and narrow your attention to the priorities that deserve your focus in the next 90 days.
Your next chapter doesn’t have to start with doing more. It can start with deciding what matters.
